Sensei John Robins Vice Chairman of the Shikata Shotokan Karate

Sensei Robins first introduction to karate was in the early 70s in liverpool. This seeded an interest that has never left. Finding Shotokan karate with the KUGB under Sensei David Grice in 1984 he has never looked Back. He achieved his 1st Dan with Sensei Masao Kawasoe 8th Dan and his 2nd and 3rd Dan's under Sensei Charles Gidley 7th Dan. He has run Jackson's Lane Shotokan Karate Club in Hazel Grove, Stockport since 1994. He has trained in Ju-jitsu, Aikido, Uechi ryu, Kyushu Jitsu and others along the way but has always used Shotokan as the base for his training.
